I tend to disable dialogues only if I see them often.
This one almost everyone would disable. It just warns
that I have no password entry and asks if I want to change
that, so I click No.

It does not say '(value not set)',
but it is blank.
And note that when I update the status of the POP server,
I *am* asked for my password.
I supply it and Mahogany pops my mail.
Regedit *still* shows that field as blank.
Now I close Mahogany.
Regedit *now* shows a password entry.

So I cannot seem to force the password not to be stored
between sessions.

Cheers,
Alan
