OK, thanks Vadim, I've only just subscribed to the list so wouldn't have seen this, I did have a look round but didn't find anything. I will try it tomorrow and see how it goes. I noticed looking through the source files there appears to be a calendar with alarms in M but haven't seen anything in the features or other documents about this. Is the calendar available or something that is in the future? One of my reasons for wanting to play with M is the python interface and I've heard good things about the address book. I want something that can search my contacts to remind me of their birthdays and was hoping to be able to do something with python for this. thanks again for such a quick reply, looking forward to trying M.
