a loooong time ago, I promised to improve the German translation for Mahogany. I finally got round to really doing part of it. I put the resulting files on my "homepage": http://home.netsurf.de/martin.jost/ Unfortunately right now only M.mo can be downloaded, M.po fails for unkown reasons. Please contact me, if I should mail you the files. Note if it's ok to gzip the files. (Together the uncompressed files make some 600 KByte, and I regarded these as to big to post here) I did a 'make mergecat' before starting translating, on a fairly recent version of Mahogany Now 736 fuzzy or untranslated messages are remainng out of a total of 2536. Especially menues are now nearly completely translated. If anyone it brave enough to give it a try: Just copy my de.mo over the old M.mo This should be at /usr/(local)/share/Mahogany/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/M.mo (Is the windows-version still not supportinmg I18N ?) Bitte schickt mir eine kurze Mail, wenn ich die Datei(en) zumailen soll. (Und ob sie gzipped sin d�rfen) Die 600 KByte in Summe fand ich zu gro� um hier ungefragt zu posten. Wenn jemand mutig genug ist meine �bersetzung zu erproben, so gen�gt es die Datei de.mo �ber die installierte M.mo zu kopieren. Diese sollte unter /usr/(local)/share/Mahogany/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/M.mo stecken. [Die Windows-Versiuon unterst�tzt im Moment u.U. kein I18N] Von den 2536 Meldungen sind im Moment noch 736 "wacklig" oder un�bersetzt. Insbesondere sind aber fast alle Men�eintr�ge �bersetzt. Mich interessieren (neben Hinweise auf die unvermeidlichen Tippfehler) insbesondere R�ckmeldungen zu folgenden Dingen: - Wo sind �bersetzung einfach unverst�ndlich bis bl�dsinnig ? (Ich sehe beim �bersetzen immer nur eine Meldung und keine ganze Dialogbox; dies l��t �ppig Luft f�r Schwachsinn) - Wo sind Begriffe nicht konsistent verwendet ? - Was l��t sich besser (eleganter ?) formulieren.
