I am using traditional unix mailboxes and properties indicate "MBX Folder
(best)" here too. However, my mailboxes work without problems.

Could you create sample message in OE, save it the same way in mailbox,
and publish it somewhere or submit it here?

It's possible with simple patch, but I am not sure whether it can be
configured at run-time. Vadim mentioned that he is planning to do
something about configuration file synchronization in near future.
