Hmmm, so you're using the Linux version like I am. When I had trouble I went
from getting complaints about a 12 char pwd to no complaints when I used a 11
char pwd. I wonder, can you try with 9 char pwd? Maybe it wants odd length or
something?

If I knew where in the code to look, I would but I don't :-(

I must have a look and see when the last time we fiddled with the cclient /
pop server code was.
