Ah, hadn't spotted that. Unfortunately it's the POP3 server I have a problem with, not SMTP. I wonder if it works for both. In the end a workaround was found with a Google: http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2002/12/rsimai_slox_sasldb_opiekey.html Presumably the Cyrus IMAP server is also the POP3 server.
