Hi,
I'm using M-latest (0.66-snapshot from 8.6.2004) and I found
the following problem, that was also present in the version I used
before (0.65):
The folder for my incoming mail ("Neue Nachrichten") doesn't get
cleaned up when a received mail gets deleted (manually) or moved
to another folder. All my folders are in mbx-type (because that's
the recommended folder-type). The problem doesn't seem to be related
to a special folder.
To reproduce the error I first stopped M, then deleted the files "Neue
Nachrichten" and my spam-folder-file ("Spam") manually to make them really
empty (with rm-command). After that I started M again and received two spam
mails that were correctly moved (by the installed spam-filter) to folder
"Spam". Then I deleted these two messages in the spam-folder (on M's user
interface) and stopped M again. When I look now into these files, both
contain the two received messages, although I would expect that both
only contain at most a mbx-header:
-rw------- 1 kummert company 12522 Jun 8 13:29 Spam
-rw------- 1 kummert company 12522 Jun 8 12:56 Neue Nachrichten
Do I do something wrong? The problem is really embarrassing because
some of my folders get very big sizes (about several mbytes).
Thanks in advance,
Holger
