I thought a lot about it but the problem is that this would be very complicated to do generally, i.e. not supposing that we have just the 3 viewers we have now but an unknown number of viewers with differing capabilities. OTOH hard coding the behaviour for the current viewers is certainly much simpler but just doesn't look like the right thing to do. So right now I don't know what to do but I'll try to still do something about this tomorrow.
