mvn -Papache-release deploy did the trick for me. Are you sure that gpg is on your path? Though signing does work for me, the build fails as soon as it tries to upload our hadoop etc. jars to the Apache repo - I could not figure out a way to make that work - checking with infra how that is intended to be done with the apache repository. https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/apache/mahout/ Isabel
