************************************************************ This issue is sponsored by ...still looking for a sponsor :-) ************************************************************ [Sponsored advt........] (For sponsoring this monthly newsletter, please send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) ************************************************************ Greetings ! Keeping up with the rapid growth of WPAA, Mar 2002 brought us two new chapters - WPAA-Singapore and WPAA-UP. Mrs. Shashi Rautela, CBSH, 1999 batch and Mr. Rajesh Sharma, Technology, 1990 batch are the proud recipients of honor this time. It is members like these and the overwhelming support from each one of you that has helped WPAA grow at such a tremendous rate. You will be pleased to know that we already have 982 members worldwide and it is a matter of days before we will see ourselves entering into a 1000+ members territory. Keep it up, folks ! As I had mentioned in the last newsletter, the Fund Drive money amounting to USD 3000/- (Rs 1,40,000/-) was donated to Computer Engineering department, College of Technology. The latest in this regard is a confirmation from the Head of Dept, Prof. R N Mishra that a decision had been made to purchase a LCD projector for the department with these funds. WPAA would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed towards this 'Fund Drive' and helped it make a success. Folks, as you all know that we have a minimal membership fee for the association. This fee helps us take care of all its maintenance expenses and also in planning projects for the benefit of Pantnagar students and our alma mater. I would like to remind you to please take a minute and send in your payments to any of the following two addresses depending upon where you live. A friend of mine was having a bad attack of hiccups and his wife had just seen a new cure on TV. She got a dollar bill and waved it front of his face and he stopped hiccupping immediately. It is assumed that it will work with larger bill and international paper money, too. ***6*** And finally, here is a list of new members: Total members as of today: 982 Total nos. of mailing-list subscribers: 692 ------------------------------------------------ Following is the list of 33 members who joined WPAA in the month of March.
