hi the StarOffice / OpenOffice startup times was a show stopper for many. not any more !
try out the latest build of OpenOffice 1.1.1 ! you will be amazed ! the startup times has been improved manyfold. it comes up in 5 sec on my athlon-xp 1800 with 512 MB ram. i am running openoffice binary build in gnome-2.6/gentoo stable regards bobby
