think 
it has only a driver for SMARTLINK chipset  (internal)
and one of my friends got it working in SuSe
try dialing from shell using wvdial
$wvdialconf wvdial.conf
edit the /etc/wvdial.conf file
$wvial youraccount
and see whats happening!
