Yes and No.
Obviously gaming would interest the students, or rather the stall would be a
huge hit if u can play quake on a big screen, but home PCs are not only for
entertainment.

we are talking about basically two types of students here
-those who use linux and those who dont
leave the linux users, for the other segment(mostly windoze users), they
will be looking for an installation which has all or more than an average
windoze system- along with games they would also need an office suite-
browser-chatprograms- etc
More so because a PC is used by most of the family members. he has to make
sure that his dad is able to do his pending office work, sis is able to
listen to songs and his mom is able to check mails- before he decides to
switch.

IMHO, Along with gaming, it would be ideal to show a few *normal* systems,
running completely on FOSS,  which has all the necessory tools that a
student and family would need.
