Hello This sounds like a cool idea. I don't know whether I will be able to contribute much on this, but I can do some other thing to help.
I can make a neat interface (both admin and user) in PHP / Mysql in the http://ilug-cochin.org website for the listings Like users can post, admin can approve all details as explained by Mr.Santhosh (device type, distro etc), so all details will appear in the site, may be with a search, sort functionality too Best Regards Din.
