I think this is less of an issue compared to systematized Microsoft brainwash
curriculum in schools. At the end of the day, if people are keen, they
can do free software projects in their free time or part time.
Internet Cafes are another space infested with malware and viruses
becoz of Windoze influence.
Since in Kerala there is a move progressively towards free software in
state schools, our target must be on ways cleanse CBSE syllabus off
bad influences, which is otherwise one step ahead and progressive in
other matters.
But either way the question really is who will bell the cat and how?
Quoting ".Kenney Jacob" <[email protected]>:
I wanted to make this into the attention of the community.
In many engineering colleges across Kerala, students are not given
the
freedom to choose their project topics. There are a few colleges
which dont
allow students to use PHP, saying that its too simple/hard. Some
say web
apps are sub standard.
Is there anything that we can do to prevent such nonsense ?
