Read their "Privacy Policy" and "terms and Conditions" to know how safe your data is. > Why should I post my photos, videos, and personal information like my date > of birth, my hobbies etc in a web site so that some strangers can view it? Posting your personal info is completely up to you. If you don't want to post, then dont. They wont force you. I use orkut. It gives me enough control on who can view what. And I could get in touch with many of my old friends through orkut. I havent used facebook. But I heard that its a very good one. But ofcourse, your privacy/security is completly in your hands. > Also I believe that these websites are a channel for spreading malicious > programs. Yeah that is true. If you dont know what you are clicking / typing in address bar, you can be a victim of Social Engineering<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_engineering_%28computer_security%29> . > > - Jos Collin > > > -- Regards, Jain M Johny
