Spying... dob is not used as one's sole identity. It cannot be. It is usually used for 2 purposes: 1) Determining the age group to provide appropriate content. 2) as a step in password recovery (this is not a recommended step in password recovery now, because it can be easily bypassed. But many sites still use this). I know many people who use wrong dob in sites.
