That's not a problem. google doesn't take control of my computing if I use their email service. The question is Why we have to use an OS and other softwares, which are provided by google and give up our freedom? The same exist in our computer or laptop, which grant us freedom. Why whould I put all my softwares in somebody else's server and ask him to control me?
