The term 'linux os' is wrong. The correct term is 'GNU OS'.

I believe that you already have 64 bit Debian installed and running in
your computer. Because i386 CDs/DVDs don't use to boot in AMD64
machines. Also there is only one distro for AMD, which is 64-bit. You
may have to check with Jacob sir before you start downloading R4.
