Dear Dr. Reji,

If you have tried the below fix, please ignore this message and sorry for
the trouble, if not it should fix this issue :)

Can you try changing your download server,

that means you can change the server url in the Update
manager>Settings>Ubuntu software>Download from (here there is a dropdown
menu) in that menu select other and select best server...so the system will
do a search and find the best server select that server and close the
window, no do an update (sudo apt-get update, the packages are normally
reloaded in the previous step), after this check if the update manager shows
any updates update all those packages,

and then go for the upgrade,
