I have to say I don't know much about that. A few years back I guess 2005 I had attended FOSS just to Introduce BSDs to the folk coming over there and to distribute some thing about BSD Certification. http://www.bsdcertification.org/news/nl017.html#SECTION00020000000000000000 In the BSD booth we put right across to yahoo ( since we could show people who use BSD ) one of the persons who came was the one responsible for incorporating OSS into the Anna University curiculum. We exchanged mails afterwards and I helped him identify OpenSource alternatives for most software. One of exceptions was Autocad. At that time I knew some BRLCAD devs and spoke with them. They did promise to work on BRLCAD to incorporate stuff to replace AutoCAD in future. So that is all I know about TN schools.
