This is a limitation with current Mailman. This limitation will be removed in a future release, but for now, see <http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=show&file=faq04.047.htp> for some links to 3rd party patches. Note also that that FAQ refers to Mailman 2.2 as the version for removal of this limitation.
