I'd suggest trying the following:
* Upgrade to 2.1-rc7 (there are a massive number of bugfixes between
rc5 and rc7)
* Replace Zope_Scheduler with ClockServer, from the 2.1 3rdParty package
* Attempt to force mail retrieval by visiting the url
http://yourhost.com/mailmanager/getMail
* Check for errors in the event.log file
It would also be helpful to get feedback on how well 2.1-rc7 works for you,
as I would like to release 2.1-final with any fixes from problems you find.
