Frankly, I don't know. Copying doesn't necessarily preserve the "last
changed" time, and I don't know for sure if MailMate looks at the
relative change times of various files.

Is this the equivalent of simply copying the directory from one
computer to the other?

I'm pretty sure it's Library/Application Support/MailMate.
Open a terminal window on the machine with the good MailMate setup.
Then do
this:
rsync -avH 'Library/Application Support/MailMate'
othermachine.local:'Library/Application Support'
where you replace 'othermachine' by the name of the destination
computer. If it includes any blanks, enclose it in quotes per the
above.

Or maybe just tell me what are the files or directories to sync.
Thanks.

How do you install Mailmate on a 2nd computer (going overseas with
laptop) so that it’s just like on one’s main computer?

Thanks.
