this is an interesting note. i’m going to test my webmailer (which
typically is never in use). there is an ipad with airmail connected to
the account, too. but the reaction is so fast, that it’s impossible to
imagine, that a second client is doing anything? but i’m going to
check this, too.

Sounds like your email service provider might be moving those messages
to your junk folder, not MailMate. Even so, the MM option to move the
message out of junk should work. Does your email provider have a web
interface to access your mail? Can you login here and move the
offending messages out of junk?
Another possibility is that you have another email client active on
the same account (like on another computer/phone/tablet) that could be
interfering.
