I’ve seen problems like this over the years. It’s almost always
because the system thinks a modifier key is being held down. I can
usually fix it by just tapping all the modifiers to make it realize
the key isn’t being held.
I’ve never seen it repeat so persistently, though. I wonder if one
of your key switches is physically connecting when it shouldn’t.
Thanks Rob, this is an interesting thing for me to check - if it happens
again. It's been working fine all day today (which might just lend
credence to your theory). :-)
