Why would you want to disable this, if the service you are connecting (IMAP of your company) doesn't support IPv6, it would (should) not have an IPv6 address entry in DNS. So if Mailmate would lookup the IP address for imap.example.com it would only get an IPv4 address and connect only over IPv4 and not even attempt IPv6.
