Hi Benny,

Thanks for comments. I take it you mean have a look at r5908 as that’s the latest Test Build? Looks like 5908 specifically initially addresses the issue about multiple Emails in contacts which I’m pretty sure we’ve all experienced in one form or another.

It looks like the Bundles preferences you mention is specific for Busy Calendar Bundles. It may be that we’re confusing Groups, Bundles and (now in Busy Contacts) Tags. Tags in Busy Contacts migrates Groups in Apple’s Contacts as well as for standalone purposes.

Please explain your views on the three and how you intend it to work, specifically in MailMate.

I’m not understanding if you mean we should immediately implement the command using Terminal, connecting Busy Contacts’ data as you specify: *“defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmDefaultAddressBook -string com.busymac.busycontacts”*

Once I understanding your intentions, will decide what to do.

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden

I agree with Henry, who wrote "we can ask Benny to fix Contacts flaws. Maybe we can ask for an interface to \[Busy Contacts\](www.busymac.com)".

A Mailmate-Busy Contacts linkage would be wonderful.

I haven't read the all of this thread, but MailMate does have support for Busy Contacts using bundles (see the Bundles preferences pane).

There's also some support (which I think still works) to make View/Add work directly with Busy Contacts:

defaults write com.freron.MailMate MmDefaultAddressBook -string com.busymac.busycontacts

With respect to recent issues with groups in Contacts, I'd appreciate feedback if there are any issues with the latest test release (just write me directly off list). The previous issues were about missing/duplicate contacts when expanding groups.

The latest test release adds support for changing the email address of a recipient found in Contacts if it has multiple email addresses. This is in the context sensitive menu of each recipient. This new feature might also mean new bugs ;-)

The latest test release should be able to handle duplicate group names (in different accounts).
