Thanks very much to Ryan Harris, Sridhar Kakkillaya and Brian Godiksen for replying and for the unnamed Google person who must have heard our torturous cries. I'm no longer receiving the error and mail is properly forwarding again. I'm curious to know if things are better for others as well.
