I sincerely hope that this day comes soon, given wisely subtle definitions of "hard bounces" and "ignore." A well-intentioned drunk 800-lb. gorilla with a big stick may have the downsides of any drunk gorilla, but that big stick can come in handy...

(e.g. hopefully Clippy or Bob or whoever won't get grumpy if after a "552 4.0.0 Bad disk, try again later" at the end-of-DATA for a 2MB message with 10 RCPTs, a sender comes back to try a new 10KB message for each of them on their own session tomorrow...)
