Hello Mailops,

from a vServer, I recently got, I'm not able to sucessfully receive
answers from spamhaus:

    dig -4 @a.gns.spamhaus.org 2.0.0.127.zen.spamhaus.org

runs in a timeout. Tcpdump shows only the outgoing packages. Using IPv6
works w/o any issue.

I wasn't sucessful in finding any hint on their FAQ, nor did I find a
contact point.

I know they've ratelimits, and other requirements to use their service.
But I do not know how they enforce these limits. Just dropping the
query, or sending at least a meaningful response?

I suspect that I got an vServer address that is banned/burned/whatever.
But I'm not able to verify it and if … how to get removed from their
banlist.

I tried to use a major search engine, but I do not seem to be able to
use the proper search terms to get any other information than "how to
delist my IP", which is not my issue.

    Best regards from Dresden/Germany
    Viele Grüße aus Dresden
