One of our customers says that every message they've sent in the last few days to multiple independent people who use outlook.com suddenly got a second copy redelivered today.
We were able to get a copy of the headers from one of those redeliveries, and those headers begin with this (rewrapped so they fit here, but otherwise unedited): Received: from DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com (2603:10b6:a03:217::32) by BY5PR04MB6471.namprd04.prod.outlook.com with HTTPS via BY3PR04CA0027.NAMPRD04.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM; Thu, 14 May 2020 23:10:28 +0000 Received: from DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com (2603:10b6:5:167::29) by DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com (2603:10b6:5:167::29) with Microsoft SMTP Server (version=TLS1_2, cipher=TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384) id 15.20.2979.28; Thu, 14 May 2020 23:10:25 +0000 Received: from DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com (2603:10b6:5:174::31) by DM6PR04MB5740.namprd04.prod.outlook.com (2603:10b6:5:174::31) with MailboxResubmission id 15.20.2979.28; Thu, 14 May 2020 23:10:25 +0000 Received: from DM6NAM11FT020.eop-nam11.prod.protection.outlook.com (2603:10b6:5:174:cafe::b0) by DM6PR21CA0021.outlook.office365.com (2603:10b6:5:174::31) with Microsoft SMTP Server (version=TLS1_2, cipher=TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384) id 15.20.3021.2 via Frontend Transport; Tue, 12 May 2020 20:02:57 +0000 The headers then go on to have more May 12 dates as expected, showing our original delivery to outlook.com. This seems to show that the message was redelivered entirely within outlook.com after 2 days with an unusual "MailboxResubmission". But I can't turn up anything related to that in a search.
