Yes, it is clear that something changed recently with Microsoft's JMRP (Junk Mail Reporting Program, aka the ISP Feedback Loop) reporting for their OLC (Hotmail, Outlook.com, etc.) domains.
Complaints are way up for our clients, as well. It's not just you -- other ESPs are seeing as well. Right now we have only theories as to why. In the past we believed the complaints received were only a sampling of complaints lodged. Perhaps it is now 100% of complaints being passed back via JMRP. Or perhaps Microsoft changed a UI behavior to intentionally or unintentionally encourage more spam complaints. Not sure so far. But to be clear, something does seem to have happened. Others have told me they see really, really high spikes in complaints. We see elevated volume, but nothing like thousands of percent higher -- our volume for JMRP complaints is perhaps 1.5x what it was at the start of August.
