I know, with the scale of the mail system they have, even thousands of
misclassified messages are almost an unnoticeable fraction of the total
traffic, but allowing the mail system to grow to scale where it can no more
be precisely controlled is their biggest mistake in first place.
FYI: I get about 100-200 spam messages in my google filtered spam box daily.
Maybe 1% are false positives. And of that 1% maybe 99% are email from political
candidates. And I get maybe 1-5 actual spams in my inbox per month.
So, this long time google/gmail user is very happy with their spam processes.
Over the last few years I have talked to many with similar experiences. I
suspect that exceptions to my experience are extra annoying.
