AFAIK google does IPv6 blocking by large blocks, as Brandon replied to me some (long) time ago, when i tried to resolve my IPv6 troubles (BTW not blocked by google). I have /48 block and IIRC he respond, that when they block IPv6, then they are doing it by even larger blocks... > I absolutely understand there's some unpredictability here delivering > mail over ipv6 but the future is now, ipv6 isn't going away. It works, but i am not bulk sender and if problem happens, exim finally retries with IPv4 (next target host address). > I have seen different levels of filtering and strictness even between > different MXs within the same domain on ipv4, so honestly to say I > shouldn't do this because there's there might be differences between > ipv4 and ipv6 MXs is frankly no worse than what we already are seeing. > If I see something so broken, I am known for letting someone know. IMO, the main problem of IPv6 now is, that not many RBLs provides IPv6 listing, thus one cannot rely on shared info. Another big problem is, that many admins consider IPv6 as IPv4 with 128b addresses. That is partially true, but there are some important differences, the most obvious is, that one host can have more addresses at once by design, and when some use temporary IPv6 addresses, it can have different address for every attempt with minimal effort... (IMO that is main reason to count/block IPv6 by /64 blocks and i use it too). Anyway, IPv6 spammers are here rare yet. -- Slavko https://www.slavino.sk
