Apart from it being rather patronising to suggest that subscribers to
this
list don't know how to use Google or are unaware that abuse@domain is
the
RFC-standard reporting address, ab...@mailgun.com appears to be aliased
to
/dev/null.
That reply was intended to answer OP's specific question. OP did not
mention it there, so I did not know if they knew about it, and I did not
want to assume that they did. The obviousness of googling is why I kept
it short.
The nature of my reply certainly was not intended to raise emotional
temperatures. My apologies if it did.
If you do not get a response from the abuse desk, shoot me a note with
details attached and I can escalate internally.
Would such an escalation actually cause said insistent spammer to be
kicked
off the service to the benefit of all Internet users, or merely add the
complainant to a list so that their address is excluded from future
spam
runs?
I understand the former occurred last time I got involved, making my
escalation track record 1/1. Not much of a track record, but I feel like
I'm off to a good start.
I'm sorry to read about your prior experiences. I can't speak to the
instance you mentioned because I did not work alongside Mailgun in 2013.
(I work in a sister business unit but liaise with the Mailgun folks on
projects.)
Personally, I detest spam and email abuse and I'll lend what help I can
to fight it.
