Yes, I just went through the whole process again. Spam Souce: inetnum: 156.224.82.0 - 156.224.82.255 netname: HongKong_NetEase_Interactive_Entertainment_Limited descr: HongKong NetEase Interactive Entertainment Limited country: HK admin-c: CIS1-AFRINIC tech-c: CIS1-AFRINIC abuse-mailbox: ab...@cloudinnovation.org They claim being the wrong abuse contact for this range and tell me to contact NetEase in HongKong via an email address they supplied, not found in the whois data. mnt-by: CIL1-MNT mnt-by: LARUS-SERVICE-MNT So I escalated the issue to Larus Ltd, got reply from the "Vice President of Operation" stating, I quote: "Please note,the abuse contact in afrinic is the email of IP owner. we cant change." So Larus Ltd, the actual LIR can not change the abuse contact published by Afrinic? Does Larus Ltd not know how to change the contact? Does Afrinic refuse Updates from their LIR because of the Legal dispute? Does Larus not _want_ to update that contact because of some legal quirks? Have they 'rented' the IP Range from Cloud Innovations (onwer) and 'leased' it to NetEase? They most probably changed the netname, description and country.
