I think "your message was blocked" or similar, without any explanation, is a proper way to deal with obvious spammers that you *manually* put onto your local blocklist, after having received an obvious spam message from them. They don't need or desire any explanation that they are blocked for spamming - they already know very well what they do. The same applies for hosts that are obviously attacking you by eg. persistent, repeated brute-force AUTH attempts. These basically should be blocked at the firewall level, without even proceeding to any SMTP transaction. At least that's what I do. -- Regards, Jaroslaw Rafa r...@rafa.eu.org -- "In a million years, when kids go to school, they're gonna know: once there was a Hushpuppy, and she lived with her daddy in the Bathtub." _______________________________________________ mailop mailing list mailop@mailop.org https://list.mailop.org/listinfo/mailop
