It's not about them being added to the calendar automatically but
rather receiving them in the first place. It's basically Spam that's
very hard to block.

Judging over the past week, it seems either Google is dropping the
ball or they are under some huge attack waves because I don't think
we've ever received so much Spam from them, even the non-calendar
type. Seemingly legitimate Workspace accounts:

If these invites do not automatically add events to your calendar,
then you
don't have the problem described in the message you are responding to.
If
they do, then whatever software is handling your calendar, should have
a
similar setting.

The message was not about filtering spam invites, it was *only* about
preventing them (when they reach your inbox) from being automatically
added
to your calendar. Which is probably not a problem for people who are
not
using Gmail, Microsoft or other big providers for their email.
