Lot's of offers over the years to help SendGrid address the bad guys using their systems.. don't hold your breath..

Is this coming from their 'shared' servers, or dedicated customer IPs?

Hi Gang

If anyone from Sendgrid could contact me off-list again (yes I had a
contact, but I don't get any reaction anymore).

Still same issue 2024 free.fr data breach:

https://www.cnil.fr/en/sanction-free-2026

I have access to data which is absolutely certain was obtained from
that data breach.

Almost on a daily bases, Sendgrid customers send advertisement emails
to data obtained via free.fr data breach, it is out of question this
data has been obtained from another source by the Sendgrid customers
involved.

Still, when addressing this issue with the Sendgrid abuse desk I get the
same reply over and over again:

* Our customer has confirmed he only is sending to 'opt-in' addresses.
* The recipient has the option to 'opt-out'.

We don't see any reason to block our customers - he does nothing wrong.

Occasionally, some days later - 'tracking links' to their customers's
website including the opt-out link becomes invalid - maybe they got
enough complaints to block the customer?

Come on, if Sendgrid would have a look at the data, it is obvious
from the start, their customer are lying to them and abusing their
services to send spam to recipients whose data was stole form free.fr
(either via fraudulent address broker or via maybe they are involved in
the data breach?)

Anyway, what I would like Sendgrid to do, is look at the data I
provide to their abuse desk. - search their customer's recipient
database for a specific marker - which they will find - which will show
the data originates from the free.fr data breach - and then block all
their customer who repeatedly wrongfully claim this data is from
anywhere else than this data breach.

Maybe they could use that same marker to alert them of a fraudulent
customer to trigger as soon as a 'new customer' uploads their
recipients list containing that marker.
