As I mentioned earlier, a Spamhaus staff member was kind enough to contact me in response to my OP, and I provided the IP address and other details about the server. I expect the investigation process to take some time. Since I am fairly certain that I can rule out a security problem, based on my own checks, and given that the server is not supposed to be able to send outbound mail anyway, I am in no particular rush regarding the CSS listing.
