I have six different accounts, and the three that I normally used exhibits this behaviour upon the very first login after installing this fresh version (not the one that you've provided me the link for - I will try that a bit later on when time is more generous to me :) But I did remember a case whereby the Gmail authentication did show, but it went away after two seconds - as you had noted.
