Maybe add another option in the preferences to watch for such "alpha"
releases?  (I can just see how confused people will be if this was to
happen... "cutting edge" and "alpha"!)
Alternatively, make these minor releases "cutting edge", but those currently
"cutting edge" to becoming minor version releases (say 2.0.0.1?).

Or, maybe, it's more clear to create a new thread (with the appropriate
subject title) whenever a new minor build is released.  That way, searching
becomes less of a hassle, and shows up more clearly.
