Thanks for the input guys... yeah, not sure what the underlying reason is -
but when you have something like this, which is provided to you as "beta"
(aka "free"), I guess we don't really have much say in the matter.
But I'm not complaining.  Gmail is clearly my choice of webmail, hands-down!

Hope the "Labs" and other goodies will come along soon.
