Been using it in Firefox for months. Tried it in Safari today and it seems to work, but I haven't really tested because who would use gmail in Safari when mailplane is available?
I'm at home and on my home machine now and giving it another try. This time, I'm only using my gmail account in mailplane (not my Apps account as well), and I'm being careful not to log into my Apps account in either Safari or Mailplane - I suspect some interaction between either multiple accounts, or having an account open in both mailplane and safari, might have been causing problems.
