It seems that the mail window will only load when I click the "log in
with offline turned off" link. I then re-enable offline once I'm
logged in. It appears to be a problem with gmail offline and webkit as
I don't get this issue with Firefox, as mentioned previously. Any
suggestions for if and how I can fix this would be most welcome.
