This would be one possible implementation. However, I see an alternative and
maybe more useful implementation for tabs (this has been requested too):

Multiple tabs for the same inbox: You could open your inbox multiple times,
doing searches in one, and compose messages in tabs. All tabs would use the
same account.

Possible enhancement: When it is possible to open multiple accounts at the
same time, each account could have its own window (each with multiple tabs).
