Do you use http:// or https:// to access Gmail in Safari?Please go to Mailplane > Preferences > Accounts. Set the "Use a secure connection" setting according to your Safari usage. (Enable the setting if you used https, disable it if you used http). Do the "Sign out"/Restart described above.
