Aha, I got fooled here. The insertion point is in the body field
and blinking so I thought that it had focus but I seem lika I
need to click a second time before it actually gets the focus.

It's a direct connection using cable (both at home and at work).
Used to work but not now.

It works just fine with Safari and Mailplane has, as far as I
can see, free access to both 443 and 80. This used to work but
in the last few days it has been like this.
