I've tried both but it makes no difference, I need to click
twice to have the correct focus.

It's a bit strange, now it suddenly works. The last few days
I've been getting these messages when I've launched Mailplane
but now, since my last email, something has changed. Now there
is no complaint at all.

The message used to say that there was a problem connecting
using SSL and asked if I wanted to continue anyway.

I've routinely set all my gmail accounts to 'require https' and
have it enabled in Mailplane for all accounts.

I checked all accounts (I had no error messages in the session
where I checked this setting) and discovered that two of the
accounts had a setting that was a bit strange: neither 'Always
use https' or 'Don't always use https' was checked. I don't know
if this had something to do with this problem but as I said the
error message was gone before I changed the settings for these
two accounts.

I'll keep an eye on this and report if I see it again (is there
some special I should check if it happens again?)
